About this item 【65% Gaming DIY Kit&VIA Programming Support】CIDOO V65 V2 is an extremely powerful 65% mechanical keyboard Kit that supports VIA programming. While being compact, it still retains all of the essential keys for daily work and gaming, along with cursor keys. Furthermore, VIA allows you to easily create macros and remap your keyboard layout to quickly access any function in any program. With on-board memory, you can save and switch between up to 6 different layers. 【Gasket Mount-The Desired Structure】The V65 V2 is designed as a gasket-mounted keyboard kit. The typing tactile and auditory experience is further enriched in V65 V2 with the use of Poron foams. Poron foam in our construction dampens reverberations within housing, effectively dampening resonance and allowing a cleaner sound profile. Included PC plate can best fit gasket mount compared to other more flexible plates such as steel or FR4. This adds to stability of the kit over long gaming sessions 【Wired and Bluetooth Connectivity, Win/Mac OS Support】With built-in 3000mAh battery, the V65 V2 supports wireless connection via Bluetooth, as well as wired usage with the included Type-C USB cable, and you can easily switch between devices by pressing Fn + Z, X, or C. The V65 V2 is perfect for on-the-go typing or use with mobile setups. The V65 V2 is compatible with both Windows and MacOS, and you can switch between OS layouts by entering the Win mode (Fn+Q) or Mac mode (Fn+W) 【Hot Swappable & South-facing LEDs 】The V65 V2 is equipped with hot swappable PCB to ensure free replacement or change of switches. You don’t need to solder it. It is compatible with most 3 pin and 5 pin mechanical switches, such as Cherry, Gateron, Otemu, Kailh and other MX switches and its clones. What’s more, the V65 V2 features RGB backlights that are also customizable through VIA. The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle. 【Rotary Knob for Media Control & NKRO Supportable】 The V65 V2 is designed with a knob to control volume. By simply rotating left or right and pressing, the keyboard can turn the system volume up, down, or completely muted. As for anti-ghosting, the keyboard comes with 6KRO out of the factory and can be switched to the NKRO mode. With the above features, V65 V2 is the ultimate keyboard for gamers 【Aluminium Casing】The CIDOO V65 V2 comes with an CNC aluminum body. Our aluminum has been electrically treated to give the keyboard body a better surface finish and a silky-smooth texture. Not only are the resulting colors extremely long lasting, the process also strengthens the aluminum itself, making it durable and corrosion-resistant and oxidation-resistant
The keyboard is excellent. I am new to the keyboard building scene so I was skeptical of every board I was looking at, so I gave this one a try. I bought just the case not the complete build with switches and keycaps. It feels about 4-5 pounds of solid aluminum. The switches were easy going into the board. Everything works as advertised. The RGB options surprised me, and the keyboard functions are easy enough to use. The only complaint I have about the board is indeed the stabilizers. Like I said, I am new to this scene so forgive me if I misspoke about anything said here. The stabilizers are not 'terrible', if you don't care about the sound profile of the keyboard then your expectations will be blown away. The stabilizers are plate mounted, so I took them out fairly easily and then did my first ever lube job using 205g0 lube and made sure to lightly lube the housings and then put generous amounts on the wire stems and 'elbows'. While the lubing did improve the overall sound of the stabilizers, it did not fix the 'ticking' noise that comes whenever I press the right side of my space bar and enter key. My guess is that this must be a 'luck of the draw' kind of scenario whenever these stabs were being produced, the wire must be slightly bent or the housings are not perfectly even with each other, either way I am not 100% sure. Nonetheless I ordered replacements and will swapping them with Durock plate mounted stabs to finish my first build. I am giving this item 5 stars because the keyboard itself is just that good and that the stabilizers gave me a good learning situation for future builds. While I understand people are rating this board based on the stabilizers alone, I feel that it is unfair to justify docking a star based on something that can be easily replaced for just few extra dollars.UPDATE:After installing the new Durock stabs, I noticed that the wires were slightly different, like nano meters difference. This difference resulted in a mushier feel, so I ended up just changing the housings and keeping the original wires and I gotta say I love the result!
