Reviewing black version with blue/gray tactile switches.Short version: After 25+ other keyboards, this one is very unique for its poppy, extremely tactile typing experience. I was not expecting a new favorite keyboard when I ordered this one but it ranks pretty high up there among everything I have tried. Awesome switches, great keycaps, great layout, great metal outer housing. Slight negatives are that the gasket mount is very firm, the typing is louder than average, the included USB cable isn't great, and the backlight can seem dim thanks to the solid keycaps. I did not experience any issues with flickering lights or anything like that.Full review: I wasn't expecting to end up with a new favorite when I bought this keyboard. I wasn't sure if I really needed another one and I thought maybe I was just compelled to buy it because of how nice the black version with blue keys looked. I had seen some earlier reviews where people had issues with flickering lights or connectivity issues, and I watched some video reviews where negatives were pointed out like the gasket mount still feeling very firm or that the keyboard is loud. I've been hooked on keyboards for a number of years now and I've tried at least 25+ so far.First impression, this keyboard definitely is poppy and loud. Not a good choice if you need quiet or type near others. I would have normally said I don't really want a loud keyboard either, but it's already sounding more normal to me now that I have used it for a while, and because I feel like the loudness is related to how tacticle this typing experience is, I kinda like it. I usually wear headphones anyway. If I had to choose I think I am a tacticle switch person. Sometimes a nice linear will impress me, but as someone who mostly types rather than gaming with the keyboard, I like tacticle for the typing feedback. I was mainly willing to give this keyboard a try because there was an option with tactile switches. This is extremely satisfying to type on. It's strange, the switches themselves do not feel like the most tactile switch ever when you hold a loose switch in your hand and press it, it's up there with some of the most tactile switches but probably not the top, but then the sum total of these switches in this keyboard end up feeling extremely tacticle.I think that is likely due to the very firm gasket mount, which I would normally consider a negative. For a while now one thing I look for in keyboards is a soft and squishy gasket mount. It doesn't really make all that much difference when typing, it's just a fun gimmick to see the entire keyboard flexing when you press down, and a soft gasket probably does keep things quieter and smoother. This is one of those gasket keyboards where it might be technically true to call it gasket mounted, there is a silicone piece wedged in there somewhere, but this keyboard feels as firm as a traditional keyboard mounted to the case with screws. I can only see the tiniest bit of flex if I push down very hard, and I saw a video where someone took the keyboard apart and showed that once you include all the foam inside, there really isn't much room for things to flex before it just bumps into the lower case.At the very least this keyboard has a polycarbonate switch mounting plate, which I very much prefer to metal. This keyboard can't afford to feel any more harsh when typing so it's good that the mounting plate is PC.As a fan of tactility, somehow this all comes together in a fun typing experience, even though I would have previously said a firm gasket is no fun. This is not my first keyboard with a metal housing but this one is really sleek, with thin bezels, the front of the keyboard sits pretty low, and it just looks and feels great.I barely noticed the little accent LED strip next to the arrow keys before purchasing but it is a nice little extra in person. One other slight negative, my first impression of the blue keys in person is that they seemed darker and closer to navy than the nice bold blue in the product photos. It just depends on ambient lighting, but I felt like the blue keys were a little darker than I was hoping for.The keycaps feel great. I still tend to like shine-through keycaps so the legends can be lit up in the dark, but I have come to realize that those keycaps tend to sound and feel cheaper, maybe the transpent plastic layer for the shine-through makes things sound different. Considering these are black keys with white legends it is still pretty easy to see in the dark. It limits the LED backlighting to just being a background glow. But I wouldn't change out these keycaps, I like how they feel and sound. The stabilizers all sound great. It's wonderful that keyboards are getting to the point where a rattly spacebar is pretty rare. The little gold plate on the right side that covers the USB dongle also makes for a nice accent. It's great that they included grey keys to replace the blue, you can change over to an entirely different feeling theme just by changing those. The included USB cable is on the thinner side of what I normally see included with keyboards, not very impressive. Even the most basic braided USB cable would really make this awesome. Even the outer packaging with the shiny Yunzii logo on the box and the blue and gray stripes looks really good. Too bad it arrived a bit beat up from delivery.I thought I might prefer to have a volume knob but I think this keyboard looks better just having the square keys across the entire thing and not a round knob in the corner. Not hard to use FN combos to control volume.I always use my keyboards wired so I can't really comment on the wireless connectivity here.I have not seen any issues with the LED ligthing in terms of flickering or other issues that some reviews mentioned.I've been buying keyboards for long enough now that it feels like diminishing returns, it doesn't happen so often anymore that I open a new keyboard and it impresses me so much that the novelty lasts for a few weeks and I am happy every time I sit at my desk and get to use the new keyboard. This keyboard scratched that itch, it reminded me why it is still worth the expense of trying a new keyboard because you never know when you will find something else that makes typing fun all over again. After 25+ keyboards this one is very unique for it's poppy, tactile typing experience. Maybe after a while it will get old and I'll want to plug in a quieter, more subltle keyboard again. But so far I am loving typing on this keyboard every day. I think I might be nearing my endgame here, I can't see how it could get much better than this. Maybe a bit more softness and movement to the gasket mount.I think the blue/gray switches are the star here. If you introduced me to this keyboard with linear switches instead it may have been a pretty average experience. But as a fan of tactile, this is awesome.
