If you are looking for a good mat for your mouse to move smoothly on and to protect your table/desk top then this is as good as it gets for the price. Easy to clean and good grip on the tabletop. I could have gone with a solid color or other image. Read the size options too because this was good for one desk but too large for another desk (corner desk configuration). I chose this pattern to encourage my kids to look at the map of countries. The shading makes it hard to read/understand (ex: the oceans are black and so are some countries). And of course, they still use the inaccurate map scale where Greenland looks like a continent and Africa is similar in size to South America.
