TL;DR - This is a really nice light package. The color temperatures are accurate, and the unit is sturdy enough for regular use. It's not particularly bright, but the advertised lux values are accurate. CRI value might be a small stretch, but it's close. Color accuracy in general is good. For the money, this is an excellent buy.So, I wanted these lights to use as backdrop lights for YouTube videos. I tested these pretty thoroughly with the exception of long term use/abuse. Durability will remain a question mark. I will repeatedly come back to, for the investment, this package is a decisive bargain.LIGHT QUALITY: Both lights I received fall within acceptable parameters. One light reads about 4,700K when set to 4400K via the remote. If you're extremely concerned with color balance, this could pose an issue. Both lights exhibit a very slight magenta shift (approximately -5) but not enough to be concerned.BRIGHTNESS: The advertised LUX values are accurate, but in practical application, these light's are not very bright. For illumination of a background, or product photography, these are fine. For anything requiring a high shutter speed or small f-stop, you'll have to ride the ISO quite hard. I was hoping to be able to use these as main lights for video, but they're just not quite bright enough for that .HARDWARE/FIT: The first thing I noticed were that these lights don't seat on a traditional light stand stud very well. They're secure once the screw is tightened, but they're not secure at all if the screw is not tightened. The entire unit is made of plastic, but it doesn't feel particularly cheap. The included case will be an absolute must for transport. You cannot rotate these lights. I paired these with a WELLMAKING 180º adapter so that I could rotate the lights as well as adjust the angle. In the vertical position, you can obviously rotate the lights however you see fit. The light stands are typical inexpensive stands, but they support the weight of the light fine.REMOTE: The infrared receiver for these lights is on the back of the unit. This is important because you will not be able to adjust these lights AT ALL sitting underneath them or in front of them. You can ONLY adjust these lights when you are directly behind the unit with the remote pointed at the dials. If you're a one man set up, filming yourself, this can be particularly annoying. That said, the remote is CRUCIAL for these lights. The knobs on the back are completely stepless and there are no markings on the dials. The only way you will have any real indication of exactly what power level or color temperature setting you're at is through the dedicated buttons on the remote.Overall, for the price, this is an excellent set of accent lights.
